Former Southern Miss and Texas Tech guard Shadell Millinghaus scored a game-high 29 points to lead Georgetown College to a 107-66 win over Miami University Middletown Monday night.
Former Lincoln County High School star Jacob Conway added 18 points in the win.

A high-flying dunk electrified the crowd and introduced Georgetown College men’s basketball fans to senior transfer Shadell Millinghaus. The guard elevated for the slam as the No. 4 Tigers (1-0) rolled 107-66 in Monday’s season-opener with Miami University Middletown.
Millinghaus scored a game-high 29 points, leading six teammates in double figures. Jacob Conway also had a burst into his sophomore season, getting his first career start and tallying 18 points. The Kentucky native was 6-of-10 from the field, 3-of-4 from three-point range.
Troy Steward continued to show why he was NAIA All-American. He chipped in with 16 points, four rebounds and three steals. Quan Poindexter did not miss a shot, 5-of-5 and 1-of-1 from deep, for 13 points.
Trent Gilbert hit some big threes early to get the team rolling and finished with 11 points, while Eljay Cowherd had 10 points – missing just one shot all night.
Conway led the charge on the glass with nine rebounds, while Poindexter had eight.
GC returns to action 7 pm Thursday hosting Ohio-Chillicothe.
