Brescia University Lands Brookfield Central Guard Andres Peralta-Werns

Brescia University has landed a commitment from Brookfield Central (Wisc.) High School guard Andres Peralta-Werns.

Here is a release from BU:

The Brescia University Men’s Basketball Program has announced that Brookfield Central 6’3″ Guard Andres Peralta-Werns has committed in playing for the Bearcats and Head Coach Brian Skortz next season. “I am looking forward to continuing my athletic and academic future with the Bearcats. I cannot wait to play for Coach Skortz and being part of the family culture at Brescia.” commented Andres Peralta-Werns on his twitter account. Peralta-Werns this season is averaging 14.8ppg while shooting 49% from the field and 41% from three point land. Peralta-Werns has a great ability to score at all three levels. Last season he led Brookfield Central to the WIAA State semi-finals in which he scored 17 points in a one point loss to Arrowhead at State. Brookfield Central is currently ranked 10th in the State of Wisconsin this season. “I am very excited to add Andres to our recruiting class. He is a special player that is extremely gifted offensively but he is also a very intelligent player that is dedicated to the game and is committed to team success. He is going to have a very good career here at Brescia and we are looking forward to his ability to score and shoot the basketball next season.” states Head Coach Brian Skortz. “Andres is a great student that gets it done in the classroom but he has a drive and work ethic to be the best player he can be on the hardwood as well. He is always working on his game and his skill set fits extremely well with our philosophy here at Brescia. We are excited in having him here at Brescia University next season.” added Coach Skortz. Welcome to the Bearcat family!

Further Press releases will come to this year’s recruiting class for the Bearcats.
