Five Kentucky Teams Earn Spots in NAIA DI National Tournament

There will be five Kentucky teams in next week’s NAIA Division I National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.

The University of Pikeville leads the way as a No. 1 seed in the Duer Bracket. The Bears will face Langston (Okla.) Thursday in the first round.

Campbellsville University used a nice run in the Mid-South Conference Touranment to earn an at-large bid. The Tigers will also be in the Duer Bracket as the No. 7 seed. They will battle No. 2 Colombia (Mo.) Thursday.

Lindsey Wilson and University of the Cumberlands will find themselves playing in the Cramer Region. Lindsey Wilson will be the No. 7 seed vs. Carroll (Mont.) on Thursday. No. 5 Cumberlands will face No. 4 Dalton State (Ga.) on Thursday.

Georgetown College is the No. 3 seed in the Naismith Region. The Tigers will square off with No. 6 Central Baptist (Ark.) on Wednesday afternoon.
